My Dad - Daniel Espino
My daughter and I were celebrating our birthdays at my Mom's house a while back. There were nieces and nephews running all over the place. Yet at one particular moment I felt so alone and lost. Over the past few years my youngest brother passed away followed by my dad. I loved them so much and not having them around leaves me vulnerable to this empty and lost feeling at the strangest moments.
We all had special relationships with my dad. He was a very special man. He was strong, caring, stubborn, funny, a nut, a musician, the heartbeat of the house, a gardener, a mechanic, an athlete, a kid, a man.
I'll miss him forever ... Does the lonely feeling every go away?
